Malbec Cahors

Deep garnet red with purple reflections. The nose offers red and black berries. Same aromatic profile i mouth which is rich, ample and suave. A round and tasty wine.

Chalky clay with south and south-west exposure at an altitude of 90-110 meters.

Phenolic maturity was reached slowly but entirely which enabled the wines to be concentrated yet with soft tannins.

Malbec 85%, Merlot 15% (average age of vines 30 years planted at 4500 vines per ha).

Mechanically with yields of 45 hl per ha.

Every other row is tilled and the other has grass cover. Pruned in double Guyot. Debuding in the spring. Deleafing on east facing rows. Green harvesting when necessary.

Matured in cement vats for a year and a half. Frequent raking the first 3 months. Light filtration at the end of first winter. No blending during this period place just before bottling at the estate in the spring.

Grilled red meat, cheese.
