2011 is an unusual vintage. With a relatively cold and rainy summer followed by a hot and dry autumn, the maturation process was delayed, but for those that did not pick too early, the vintage is expressive, characterized by mature, round, warm and fine wines.
50% Semillon, 50% Vermentino, 10 years old vines planted at 5000 vines per ha.

Maturing and Bottling
4-5 racking, early fining with bentonite, filtration, time in French oak, stabilization and non-sterile filtration, bottles in the spring
Clear golden yellow. Notes of ripe fruit and nuts, grapefruit peel and ocean air. Vanilla on the nose. The mouth is balanced, full and velvety, with round fruit character and softened minerality which lingers through the finish. A light woody touch in finish adds to the general elegance of the rose.
