
Côtes de Provence Red
A quality red from the Jules range, this light and fruity AOC Côtes de Provence is the perfect expression of the red wines of the appellation.
Soil
Rocky and limy clay with southern exposure at 160 meters altitude.
Climate
2014 is an unusual vintage. After a relatively cold and rainy summer, disturbed by an episode of hail, a cool autumn slowed the maturation process, while an expressive vintage. It is characterized by nice, refined and aromatic wines.
Grape Varieties
80% Syrah, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon
Harvest
Mechanically with yields of 40hl/ha.
Wine-Making
Maceration for 15 days with regular pump-overs and temperature control between 28-30°C. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
Maturing and bottling
Aged in tanks. After a light filtration, the wines are blended to be bottled.
Tasting Notes
Intense garnet-red color with violet reflects. Expressive nose of red fruits: cherry, blackberry and blackcurrant, on a bed of garrigue aromas (rockrose and thyme). The palate is structured with young tannins, crunchy and full of fruits. Final on pepper; a young fruity wine.
Meal Suggestion
Barbecue, grilled chicken, lasagna, moussaka.

Eye: Purple garnet. Nose: elegant, complex, ripe, grenadine, cocoa, red fruits. Palate: tender and greedy, light and melted, back on the strawberry, beautiful finish. Bottom line: A lovely, all-season wine, the kind of red to drink refreshed for fun. 3 stars. A quality wine to follow

Eye: garnet supported. Nose: delicate black fruit, tar, an animal touch, liquorice, ripe fruit. Palate: aromas of the nose, rich, fine tannins melted, vegetal finish and blackcurrant.
